What is Quartz?

Similar in many ways to granite, quartz is made up of quartz pieces and man-made resin.

Combined, this means your work surfaces are non-porous, stain-resistant and just as strong as granite, but with the added bonus of flexibility. This means they're less likely to crack or chip.

Quartz is made from recycled materials using an environmentally friendly manufacturing process, so is great for your carbon footprint.

Low Maintenance

Quartz worktops from The Kitchen Island are incredibly durable and easy to clean. Unlike granite, they don't require regular sealing - ever. In fact they're almost maintenance free.

Of course, there will be seams in quartz work surfaces, but these are less visible in darker colour choices, and if done well are almost invisible.
